JOB OVERVIEW:Under the general supervision of the Group leader of Product Costing Group, the J
unior Accounting Supervisor is accountable for the analysis of margins of different activities of the company. Conducts and monitors cost-effective data accumulation systems needed to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management. This position covers Costing process Internal control policies preparation.
Collecting & Analyzing Cost Data Responsible in the collection and analysis of Data related to selling of goods or services that can help in developing cost models that can be used to estimate cost of selling different products. This task covers also identifying opportunities to reduce costs and monitor cost performance over time.
- Inventory Management This tasks covers direct inventory purchase from supplier, making sure that costs are properly accounted for each product with correct quantity and all are in good condition. Inventory management may include evaluating the costs and benefits of different inventory management strategies or assessing the impact of changes in selling process or customer demand on Inventory Levels.
Product Costing
Creation of cost management strategies like the introduction of changes in Pricing, product Mix or Selling process. This task covers submission of accurate and complete cost per product sold for Financial reporting Group.Financial Reporting
Submission of Product Costs to various groups that needs it for decision making and for financial report to management and external parties like audit group and others.Other Related Tasks - Other tasks that may be needed by your immediate Head and other assistance that may be required by other groups.
Timely submission of Reports
- Organize filing of documents/Ledgers
Subsidiary Ledger / Customer File- Policy preparation to ensure management of cash efficiently and honestly
Guide and Train staff
- Attend seminars, conventions and meetings required to improve task/career
Assist other co-workers or other departments if requested- Assist in other duties as needed and directed.
Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Financial Management, and related courses.- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to prepare policies and Internal Controls.
Preferably with at least 2 years experience in accounting, costing, or in the same related field.
- Prior experience in financial reporting, inventory management and product costing is highly desirable.
Familiarity with cost analysis and inventory management systems.- Knowledge of financial reporting standards and practices.
Ability to develop and implement cost models.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect with the team- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
