Job Responsibilities and Qualifications
Purpose
Manage the operations of Crew Support Services (CSS), Family Center (i.e Flag State documents, POEA Contracts, US Visa and various Visa applications and Family Center) and Crew Claim (i.e. P & I cases, compassionate ground cases and other legal cases).
Manage the performance of the CSS, Family Center and Crew Claim Sections and its staff relative to the attainment of WMS vision and corporate values.
Interrelations
Reporting directly to the General Manager.
Relate with the Marine Personnel Senior Specialist (Crewing) and with other leaders of the Company in order to meet the service expectation of the CSS, Family Center and Cew Claim Sections.
Main responsibilities and tasks
Develop an AOP for the CSS, Family Center and Crew Claim Sections and implement a strategy that will ensure that the Company provides proper and timely crew support services to its clients, vessels and seafarers.
Develop guidelines/procedures to meet the goal and objectives of CSS, Family Center and Crew Claim Sections.
Monitor the service output and performance of the staff to ensure that the service requirements per Service Level Agreement with the client are met at all times.
Ensure that al Sections are manned by qualified personnel in order to fulfill the strategies and AOP.
Coordinate with the Company leaders to ensure that the Crew Support Services are up to the standards required by the clients.
Supervise crew mobilization and processing of contracts of seafarers
Supervise all Visa application, Flag endorsements and POEA matters concerning seabased accreditation
Supervise the communication to local P & I Correspondent, accredited P & I hospital, Principal/Owner and/or P & I Club with regard to P & I cases, Compassionate Ground cases and/or Legal cases.
Attendance to conciliation hearing with approval of the principal
Coordinates with various government agencies on crew welfare
Conducts mediation conference between the crew and agrieved wife for financial assistance
Monitor and maintain CBA enrollment with the principals respective union affiliations.
Organize special events when requested.
Supervise arrangement of Immigration formalities for local crew change whenever necessary.
Prepare cash advance request and liquidations for budget of various vessel welfare requests and others.
Supervise communication with GARD regarding ECR GARD medical reimbursement of the seafarer and their beneficiaries.
Participate in the emergency contingency activities per Contingency Manual.
Prepare special reports as requested by Top Management.
Qualifications
Holder of BS College or University Degree
Three (3) to Four (4) years experience in similar position in Crewing business or other related position in the service industry.
