As the Jira/Tempo Tool Administrator, you will own the administration and support of Atlassian Tools, specifically Jira and the Jira plug in tools from Tempo to meet the needs of multiple engineering squads and product delivery teams throughout the company. As the adoption of the Jira expands to various teams, you will promote best practices while advising teams on how to get the most out of Jira and Tempo. You would also be providing Line of Business tooling administration for the Confluence, Zendesk, Aha! and Miro.
Accountabilities:
Work with cross-functional teams to support Jira and Tempo in ways that will help them improve project management
Create and configure new Jira projects and work with squads to maintain existing Jira projects.
Help guide and maintain the organization of data in Jira and develop templates where possible.
Document Jira and Tempo standards and best practices.
Train, guide, and assist end-users in use of JIRA/Tempo.
Create, maintain and support dashboards and advanced filters for end users reporting capabilities.
Perform requirements gathering, develop business process workflows, and determine ways to improve the Jira/Tempo based workflows and processes in place as well as identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests.
Drive development of reporting within Jira and Tempo to support organizational needs.
Work with directors and managers to understand requirements for tools they need to better utilize internal data (add-ons in Atlassian)
Liaise with external tech teams and the ITAM team (IT Asset management) to gather, review and update the licence information for Jira, Confluence, Zendesk, Aha! and Miro
Provide LOB tooling SME oversight and support to projects to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in CS, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Jira and the Atlassian product suite and supporting 3rd party add-ons, specifically Tempo
Solid understanding of Jira schemes (issue type, workflow, screen, field, permission, and notification) and how to best apply them on a global or individual project level.
Experience integrating Jira with Tempo Timesheets and Tempo Portfolio essential.
Experience with managing reports on Jira and supported reporting applications
Solid understanding of the SDLC and project management methodologies.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment.
Able to analyze and review current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement.
Must be highly organized, follows good naming convention and loves to keep data nice and clean.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Strong work ethic with good time management and the ability to work with others
