Position Title: Application Support / Software Support Engineer
Work Setup: WFH (with possibility of travelling to New Zealand or Australia for training)
Work Schedule: Shifting
Skills Needed:
- Java Development Skills
- Experience in UNIX/Linux environment
- Solid exposure in SQLQueries
- Experience in any database; Oracle preferred
Duties:
- Effectively supports the customer's operation; start, monitoring and control of the company software and equipment.
- Communicate clearly with the customer and internal stakeholders to keep them fully informed about the outcome and progress of relevant issues.
- Investigate and resolve support incidents to allow the customer systems to resume normaloperations.
- Continually assesses the performance of the software and equipment to maintain the parameters and standards of its operation, and to assist in making corrections or improvements.
- Support and maintain both hardware and software systems including software updates and hardware upgrades.
- Update and contribute to the online knowledge base.
- Investigate and resolve problem tickets.
- Identify, propose, and organize improvement on functionality and software fixes.
- Deliver small change requests involving configuration or minor code changes.
- Release testing of application changes and patches and coordinate UAT.
- Deploy patches to customer environment as needed
