The role will be reporting directly to the Operations Support Manager and Head of People and Culture, in the absence of, directly to the President/COO, and will work indirectly with People and Culture, Service Delivery, Talent, Finance, Growth, Marketing, Sales, and other Teams within the organization.
Job Overview
The IT Security Analyst is an intermediate level role. It is responsible for overseeing and helping manage the overall IT & Infrastructure department of the organization. This role requires minimal supervision, technical and problem-solving skills. It requires a strong knowledge, understanding and experience of IT & Infrastructure systems, networks, tools, applications, security implementation and trends in both software and hardware and specifically CRM's or Google Workspace; strong knowledge and skills of computer programming languages; searching, recommending and implementing new technologies best suited for the organization; information security; cybersecurity; policy creation and implementation; systems, tools, network and applications upgrade, troubleshooting and repair; audit and compliance; and reports creation.
Management of the IT & Infrastructure Department
- Tracks, monitors and evaluates the security measure and protocols
- Assess and provide recommendations for IT security requirements in line with existing IT infrastructure
- Ensures employee compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures for Information Security
- Acts as the subject matter expert for IT & Infrastructure related information and guides the team and organization through technical issues, challenges and improvements
Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Repair, Development & Improvement
- Responsible for ensuring that the IT systems, network and infrastructure of the organization is not only working well but are maintained accordingly
- Help in hardware and software installations and upgrades to align with Security Protocols
- Able to foresee potential IT & Infrastructure issues and address them or inform the management right away for prompt resolution
- Responds in a timely manner to reports of IT & Infrastructure issues and concerns
- Immediately responds and provides assistance and resolution to system, network and other IT & Infrastructure issues that are business impacting
- Conducts systems, network, applications and tools maintenance, audits and troubleshooting to identify areas of improvement
- Analyzes the IT & Infrastructure needs of the business and organization, conducts research and submits recommendations
- Participates in the planning and designing of technologies to meet the growing needs of the organization and business
- Safeguards assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures
- Creates and maintains tools and trackers for the IT & Infrastructure systems and processes of the organization
- Continuously does self-development and upskilling of technical competencies
- Trains and upskills employees, clients and stakeholders of the systems, networks, tools and technologies of the organization
Policy Creation and Implementation
- Creates and implements the IT & Infrastructure policies and processes
- Creates and implements policies on cybersecurity and information security
- Works closely with People & Culture in ensuring compliance with data privacy
- Conducts workshops, trainings, seminars or roadshows about IT & Infrastructure policies and procedures
- Reviews and updates the IT & Infrastructure policies and procedures accordingly
- Ensures that the policies and procedures are compliant with business needs and strategy and regulatory standards
Reports, Audits and Compliance
- Prepares and submits monthly, quarterly or annual reports related to IT & Infrastructure
- Tracks, monitors and audits employee compliance with IT & Infrastructure policies and procedures
- Reports incidents of non-compliance promptly to the appropriate department
- Conducts root cause analysis of incidents of systems, network, applications and infrastructure issues and presents the findings and recommendations accordingly to avoid similar incidents and for improvement
- Creates and maintains IT & Infrastructure reports and audit trackers, files and folders
- Compiles and analyzes data to identify trends and areas for improvement and gives suggestions and recommendations for improvement
Requirements
- Amenable to working on-site
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a virtual work environment or BPO organization
- Knowledge and experience in information security, cybersecurity, data privacy, and IT regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in computer programming languages
- Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, tools, applications, technologies, and current trends
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer systems, IT applications, networks, and online work tools such as CRMs, Google Workspace, Lark, and Zoom
- Strong people management skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Good work ethic, professionalism, and self-motivation
- Ability to make quick and effective decisions, with strategic and critical thinking skills
- Ability to analyze data and prepare accurate reports
