As an
IT System and Network Administrator, you are responsible for:
- Providing technical support for server infrastructure and LAN WAN networks for external customers, assisting them through onsite support and consultancy.
- Providing technical support functions for the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) including the management of hubs, switches, routers, firewalls and servers.
- Providing technical support and consultancy either over the phone, email or directly onsite with the internal and external clients.
- Maintaining a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all IT service management principles.
- Consulting on infrastructure problems and provide suitable networking and System solutions.
- Taking ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.
- Logging all calls on the call logging system and maintain full documentation.
- Maintaining a log of any software or hardware problems detected.
- Responding to enquiries from clients and help them resolve and hardware or software problems.
- Resolving all IT issues with a professional manner and allocate more complex service issues to the relevant IT Support member.
What You Need:
Qualifications and Typical Experience:
- Bacheloru0027s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of Experience in IT field
Preferred Skills/Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows XP/7 and MS Server
2003/2008 - Networking Experience (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi)
- Knowledge of Active Directory (AD)
- Experience troubleshooting of hardwares and various softwares
- Good understanding of PC hardware and software set-up and configuration and TCP/IP networking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- MCP, CCNA, Network+ or Server+ certification would be desirable
