IT Security Administrator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The IT Security Administrator's main role is to support security operations, be the first responder to cyber incidents and threats, and implement and execute all duties in line with existing IT security programs, policies, and procedures as instructed by the Director, IT Security Risk & Compliance.

The IT Security Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the company's digital and computing assets are protected from unauthorized access and malware infection. This includes securing both online and on-premises infrastructures, analyzing metrics and data to filter out suspicious activity, monitoring technical security posture across the infrastructure, and finding and mitigating risks before breaches occur.

• JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure all computing assets and systems are onboarded to SOC via the installation of EDR and SIEM agents.

• Be the first responder in the event of security incidents, breaches, or confirmed malware infections.

Ensures that technical security controls are implemented.

• Monitor all assets and be alert for any unusual activity.

Assist in the implementation of data protection controls.

• Monitor WAF and publicly accessible services and websites for cyberthreats, and ensure all websites are onboarded to WAF.

Assist with risk, compliance, and audit activities.

• Assist in raising security awareness and engaging with stakeholders regarding security best practices.

Lead and manage technical security-related POCs and projects.

• Ensure that incidents are properly tracked, all activities performed are documented, and SLAs are met within optimum levels.

Perform security investigations, threat-hunting, and day-to-day SOC tasks as required.

• Assist in the vulnerability management program as well as patching and threat mitigation activities.

Stay updated on security-related news and threat intel.

• QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS:

At least 2 years of working experience in a related field is required for this position

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related IT discipline

The ideal candidate will need to have a passion for IT security and information technology.

• Understanding of security concepts, including malware, intrusion detection, risk analysis, and threat/vulnerability management.

Good knowledge of infrastructure security, operating systems, virtualization, network architecture, and cloud technologies.

• Good knowledge of network security, TCP/IP, and OSI layers.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office productivity tools, business applications, and monitoring applications.

• Knowledge of EDR, AV, SIEM, WAF, Device Control and Patching Systems, Scanning Tools, and 0365 Security.

Diligent attention to customer satisfaction, a high level of service orientation, and professionalism

• Proven ability to work independently is a key requirement.

Professional conduct and communication to work respectfully with high-profile employees

• Knowledge of security processes and procedures relating to change management.

Security + Certifications are preferred but not required.
