Job Summary
The IT Officer assists in the smooth functioning of IT Department. He coordinates and establishes hardware maintenance, application programs and procedures in case of system interruptions. He ensures security of data storage and protection, implementation and training of users on the systems and equipment.
Scope and Responsibilities:
- Assists in authorizing access level and maintaining system security.
- Maintains configuration codes and create new reports.
- Performs month/year end updates (as required).
- Updates license quarterly.
- Monitors daily data backup, system performance and server disk space.
- Monitors user work stations, guest check printers, link to PMS are running.

- Ensures interface link between POS and PMS is running.
- Monitors daily data backup, system performance and server disk space
- Assists in the maintenance of users with individual email account which includes creation, modification and deletion.
- Monitors all network distribution area with switches is functional and connected to uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
- Improves network connectivity if necessary.
- Troubleshoots network problem and assist users.
- Ensures to have a backup line going to main network distribution area and active components backup for switches, etc.
- Monitors system performance, user accesses, backup for group policy and users script.
- Ensures all servers are running properly including no defective accessories.
- Monitors operating systems are updated on latest patches.
- Reviews servers log for possible problem and with enough disk space.
- Ensures internet connection for offices, WIFI connection for selected public areas are running properly
- Ensures that the proxy servers are running properly and the logs are reviewed.
- Ensures a corrective measure is in place for guest comments related to internet connection in the room
- Monitors that all computers have standard anti-virus and updated.
- Ensures standard procedure for project management is followed.
- Monitors other systems not defined above and provides supports both applications and hardware.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- At least two (2) years experience as systems analyst/programmer.
- Experience in hotel/resort is an advantage.
