Job Description

IT Manager

The IT Manager maintains operational systems including security and integrity and takes care of the system's network. He/She is responsible for the delivery of IT services and the management of software, hardware and office equipment of the company. He/She is also involved in designing the company software application/s and in maintaining company databases.

_Duties and Responsibilities:_

_Network_

Developing new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs

Creating rational strategies for upgrading the company's network software whenever a new update is available

Constructing and implementing plans to ensure the company's network continues to operate smoothly in the event of a problem

Staying up to date with new network technology and reporting this information to the executive team each quarter

Working closely with other department Managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company's network

Maintains the network and secures it at all times

Troubleshoots problems arising from the system's network

Ensures that Anti-Virus and firewall are properly deployed on the network

Ensures that Microsoft applications are patched or updated properly in the network

Maintains the company email system, FTP, internet/intranet and FILE-SERVER, and Application Servers availability

_Hardware_

Maintains all hardware including cleaning and checking of electrical wiring and connections

Maintains an inventory list of computer hardware

Maintains configuration of each workstation for reference purposes

Monitors workstations and server performance and evaluates which hardware needs to be upgraded

Ensures that warranties are properly managed and renewed

_Software_
  • Maintains all software including installations/re-installations and back-ups
Ensures that all installed software are licensed and are according to the company requirements
  • Maintains an inventory list of computer software licenses including data on unlicensed ones
Designs/debugs/modifies programs, intranet applications and administers company databases
  • Ensures that software subscriptions are renewed on time and free software updates are delivered

_Technical Support_
  • Provides technical assistance to the Head Office, branch offices and mobile users
Administers ACONEX Projects and Users assignment
  • Ensures that all technical issues encountered by employees are resolved as soon as possible
Ensures that unresolved issues related to hardware, software and IT services are escalated on time to designated vendors technical group for their assistance

_Library_

Assists employees in gathering information and retrieving documents

Catalogs and classifies books, brochures, pamphlets, and other library materials

Submits, maintains and updates the inventory list of the company's library collection monthly

Gives recommendations for acquisition of business-related books, magazines, journals and printed/non-printed materials

Ensures that borrowed books, CD's, manuals, and other items are returned on time and properly-logged for audit

Takes care of the maintenance of the library premises

Collaborates with the formulation and administration of library policies

_Others_
  • Supervises the whole IT Department operations; assigns duties and responsibilities to staff and ensures that each staff member is properly-performing their assigned duties and responsibilities
Implements IT policy, procedures, and manuals
  • Manages IT services, contracts, and subscription
Constantly communicates with IT vendors on available facilities or services which may be help improve company operations
  • Conducts training to employees on new software or hardware of the company
Provides telephone extension and access code to employees
  • Collaborates with different Departments and ensures that their requests such as software, hardware or services are evaluated and included in the IT budget list
Provides recommendation and creates future plans for improving IT facility and services
  • Takes minutes of meetings (MOM) and issues to relevant parties within the next twenty-four (24) hours
Analyze processes, technologies, and vendors continually to find areas for improvement
  • Prepare costbenefit analyses when upgrades are necessary, and monitor vendors to ensure that they're offering the best-possible service and value for business needs
Train employees to use software and hardware; troubleshoot issues and provide technical support when needed
  • Develop and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups

_Skills and Qualifications:_
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
Must have at least 8 years of related work experience
  • Must have firsthand experience in managing corporate Network & Business Systems such as Email, Website, FTP, both Linux/Windows Server & MySQL/MSSQL Databases
Must have experience in Windows Server Hyper-V Virtualization
  • Experience in Application Development is an advantage
Must have experience in Software License Asset Management
  • Must be familiar with Security protocol such as SSL, VPN and Encryption
Must be familiar with Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
  • Should have experience in implementing I.T. Policy and procedures
Experience in conducting I.T. Trainings is an advantage
  • Should have good people management, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge in ITIL is a plus
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
  • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
Good communication, including writing, speaking and active listening
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
Advanced leadership and conflict management skills
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail
  • Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization
Flexible working hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php40,
  • 00 - Php50,000.00 per month

    Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
* Monday to Friday
