JOB DESCRIPTIONDatabase Administrator is responsible in the capacity management, integrity, and security of all databases of the company's applications. The role will do the maintenance, optimization, backup and recovery procedures, and security and control of the company's database.
- Qualifications and Job Specifications:
Graduate of information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any related courses.
- At least 1 year experience handling database management systems such as Oracle, SQL server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Preferably worked on financial institution but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Work closely with Database Administrator and other IT team members to support overall IT operations.
Assist on maintaining existing database software ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures
Monitor database performance and thresholds- Provide support for database-related issues and resolve them in a timely manner
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues
- Collaborate with the IT team to address any system issues affecting databases
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Hands-on experience on database architecture and implementation.
Knowledge on database security and data privacy.- Experience with data backup/recovery solutions
Knowledge on Oracle cloud infrastructure.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environment.- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
