Short description of the role:

A Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for analyzing business processes, generating reports, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending solutions that can help an organization to achieve its goals.

Required Skills:

• Analytical thinking: A BA should be able to gather and analyze large amounts of data, and use that information to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can help drive business decisions.

Communication: A BA should be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including business users from the Planning team and management

• Problem-solving: A BA should be able to identify and address problems quickly and efficiently. This requires an ability to think creatively and to develop innovative solutions that can improve business processes and outcomes

Digital skills: A BA should have an basic/intermediate knowledge in digital solutions such as MS Excel (with Power Query), SQL, Tableau, Alteryx and the willingness to learn further on these software.

• Data analysis: A BA should be strong in data analysis techniques and tools, including statistical analysis, data visualization

Business acumen: A BA should have a strong business sense, with an ability to understand the financial and strategic implications of business decisions.

• Attention to detail: A BA should be detail-oriented, with a strong ability to identify and correct errors and inconsistencies in data and processes.

• Report analysis: Analysing report data to identify trends and patterns that can inform strategic decision-making.

Documentation: Documenting business requirements, process flows, work instructions for reports.

• Continuous improvement: Continuously monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of solutions, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing enhancements to drive business value.
