Objectives:- An IT support individual is in charge of supporting end user technologies, including desktop, printers, devices and potentially network and systems of all types, providing technical support and ensuring the whole company runs smoothly.
IT Support monitors and maintains the company computer systems, installs and configures hardware and software, and solves technical problems. Because of the nature of the job, some companies may require their IT Support to undertake shift work.
Monitoring of IT Tickets: Issues/Concern/Requests- Providing technical support across the company
Installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining computer hardware, software, systems, email server, networks, printers and scanners.
- Maintain and secure password, file system security and data integrity for desktop environment
Secure system backup- Setting up accounts for new users
Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
- Assist user for execution of software programs used by the company
Recommend software and hardware solutions comprising of upgrades and new acquisitions- Collect all non-serviceable equipment and parts for disposal
Provide weekly/monthly reports to the IT Officer of tickets resolved, accomplishments, and project updates.
At least 1 year of experience in IT Support (Hardware/Software)
- Meticulous eye for detail and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong abilities in critical thinking, problem-solving, and logic- An ability to stick to strict deadlines
An ability to prioritize and delegate
- Preferred skills and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information systems, information technology, or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work successfully in both individual and team settings
