Job Summary:The IT Systems and Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily IT and Operational Technology (OT) support activities, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of technical services to business units. This role involves managing IT support staff, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies. The IT Systems and Operations Supervisor ensures the reliability of IT infrastructure, optimizes IT resources, and supports continuous improvement in service delivery.
Supervise the IT operations team, aligning with department goals, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee IT service desk operations, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and continuous system improvements.
Ensure the 24/7 reliability and availability of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) communication links.- Assist in the development, testing, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, and maintenance of networked systems and IT assets.
Perform regular systems maintenance, updates, and backups.
- Contribute to the development and management of the annual IT budget.
Promote user awareness and adherence to IT policies, guidelines, and procedures.- Collaborate with functional teams to foster innovation and share best IT practices.
Provide technical support for OT security systems, including firewall management and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with OT standards and manage required licenses and service contracts.
Adhere to organizational policies and standards related to quality, environmental, health and safety, asset management, and information security.- Report environmental and occupational health and safety events or incidents.
Protect information assets and ensure their availability, confidentiality, and integrity.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Strategic and analytical thinking capabilities.
Proficiency in IT infrastructure management and service desk operations.- Experience in systems development or implementation, and server management.
Excellent communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience in IT roles, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Project management experience is preferred.
