Meet the team:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Major Incident Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective resolution of IT incidents and minimizing their impact on our organization. The successful candidate will lead incident response efforts, coordinate with various IT teams, and implement measures to prevent future incidents.
Where you come in:
Incident Response Leadership:
You will lead the end-to-end incident response process, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of IT Major incidents.
You will act as the primary point of contact during Major incidents, providing clear communication and updates to stakeholders.
Coordination and Collaboration:
You will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to identify, assess, and prioritize incidents based on their impact and urgency.
You will coordinate resources and activities to resolve incidents promptly.
Root Cause Analysis:
You will conduct thorough root cause analyses for major incidents to identify underlying issues and implement preventive measures.
Documentation:
You will maintain detailed documentation of incidents, responses, and resolutions for post-incident analysis and reporting.
Continuous Improvement:
You will implement improvements to incident response processes based on lessons learned and industry best practices.
You will proactively identify and address potential areas of vulnerability to prevent future incidents.
Communication and Reporting:
You will communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on incident status, resolution efforts, and preventive measures.
You will prepare and present incident reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
You will provide accurate and grammatically correct communications both to IT and Business users, ensuring content and detail are correct and can be understood.
Training and Awareness:
You will develop and deliver training programs to enhance incident response capabilities across the IT organization.
You will foster a culture of incident awareness and responsiveness.
What makes you successful:
You are ITIL certified.
You have at least 2 years leading as a Major Incident Manager in a similar global environment.
You hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
You have proven experience in IT Major Incident management, including leading response efforts and conducting root cause analyses.
You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You have the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple incidents simultaneously.
You are familiar with IT service management (ITSM) tools and incident tracking systems.
You have knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to Major incident management
