About the job
Investment analysts generate actionable insights by conducting economic, industry, and company-level analysis. The position is also responsible in communicating economic and market developments, as well as BPI Wealth's outlook and investment strategies to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., clients board of trustees/directors, senior management, relationship managers, etc.). The main role is to support portfolio managers make sound investment decisions and help build investment strategies that are founded on thorough, objective, and rational research and analysis.
Core Responsibilities
- Write regular reports on economic, market, and corporate developments
- Conduct briefings and communicate house views to internal & external stakeholders
- Research companies under industry/sector coverage
- Collaborate with portfolio managers in generating and executing investment ideas
- Perform due diligence on potential client transactions
- Support other teams in responding to client queries related to investments and assist in all other tasks that may be assigned
Qualifications
- Preferably Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- Preferably with relevant work experience in Financial Analysis, Economics, or Investments
- Proficient in creating financial models to predict future financial performance
- Has the ability to analyze financial data, market trends and economic indicators
- Above-average communication skills, proficient in both oral and written communication, proficient in Excel, Bloomberg Terminal, and other tools
