The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing inventory control operations within the warehouse. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper stock levels, and coordinating with various departments to optimize inventory management processes. The Inventory Supervisor will lead a team of inventory clerks and collaborate closely with the purchasing and sales departments.
Inventory Management:- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records.
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency.
Supervise, train, and evaluate inventory clerks.- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.- Prepare and present inventory reports to management.
Use inventory management software to track and update stock levels.
- Coordination and Communication:
Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and production departments to forecast inventory needs.- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Communicate inventory-related issues and updates to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.- Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Conduct safety inspections and enforce safety regulations.
