The Inventory Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of automotive parts and supplies. This role ensures that all inventory processes are executed efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner to support the repair center's operations. The Inventory Officer will collaborate with the procurement team, technicians, and other staff members to ensure the availability of necessary parts and supplies.
o Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movement, and storage locations.
o Perform regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
o Monitor stock levels and initiate orders to replenish inventory as needed.
o Track inventory usage and trends to forecast future needs.
- 2. Toolbox and Caddy Inventory:
o Perform routine inventory checks of auto mechanics caddies or toolboxes.
o Ensure all tools are accounted for and in good working condition.
o Report any missing or damaged tools and arrange for replacements as needed.
- 3. Preventive Maintenance Monitoring:
o Monitor and document preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment.
o Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely servicing of all machinery.
o Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and any repairs performed.
o Inspect incoming parts and tools for quality and accuracy.
o Ensure all items meet the required specifications and standards.
o Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to inquire for parts and supplies.
o Verify and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
o Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to optimize costs.
- 6. Warehouse Organization:
o Organize and maintain the inventory storage area for optimal efficiency.
o Implement and enforce proper labeling and categorization of inventory items.
o Ensure that storage practices comply with safety and industry standards.
o Utilize inventory management software to track and manage inventory data.
o Generate and analyze inventory reports to support decision-making.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions.
o Work closely with the repair center staff to understand inventory needs.
o Assist technicians in locating and retrieving necessary parts.
o Communicate effectively with the procurement team and other departments.
o Monitor and manage inventory costs to stay within budget.
o Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
