Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock of raw materials and components for production.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions in the inventory management system.
- Ordering and Replenishment:
Generate purchase orders based on inventory needs and production schedules.- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Monitor lead times and adjust reorder points to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present inventory reports to management.
Use data to forecast future inventory needs and adjust inventory strategies accordingly.
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and other departments to optimize inventory processes.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in inventory management.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding inventory management.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records and documentation.
- Software and Systems Management:
Utilize inventory management software to track inventory levels, orders, and shipments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to inventory systems and processes.
Stay updated on new inventory management technologies and recommend upgrades or changes as needed.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Relevant work experience can sometimes substitute for formal education.
Proven experience in inventory control, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with inventory management software and systems.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and inventory control best practices.
Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
Compressed Schedule: Monday to Friday-8:00am to 6:30pm(Saturday-Paid)
