Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock of raw materials and components for production.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions in the inventory management system.
  • Ordering and Replenishment:
Generate purchase orders based on inventory needs and production schedules.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Monitor lead times and adjust reorder points to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports to management.
Use data to forecast future inventory needs and adjust inventory strategies accordingly.
  • Process Improvement:
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and other departments to optimize inventory processes.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in inventory management.
  • Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding inventory management.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records and documentation.
  • Software and Systems Management:
Utilize inventory management software to track inventory levels, orders, and shipments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to inventory systems and processes.
Stay updated on new inventory management technologies and recommend upgrades or changes as needed.
  • Qualifications
  • Education:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Relevant work experience can sometimes substitute for formal education.
  • Experience:
Proven experience in inventory control, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with inventory management software and systems.
  • Skills:
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Knowledge:
Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and inventory control best practices.
Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Schedule:
Compressed Schedule: Monday to Friday-8:00am to 6:30pm(Saturday-Paid)
