GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the inventory control team. This role involves managing inventory levels, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, and coordinating with various departments to support production and sales. The supervisor will also develop and implement procedures to optimize inventory management, reduce discrepancies, and enhance efficiency.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Management
- Implements inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Oversees cycle counts and physical inventories, reconciling any discrepancies
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential issues
- Prepares and presents regular inventory reports, including stock levels, turnover rates, and forecasts
- Collaborates with finance and operations to support budget and planning activities
Process Improvement
- Develops and implements strategies to optimize inventory processes and reduce costs
- Identifies areas for process improvement and leads initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Stays updated on industry best practices and technology advancements in inventory management
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage documentation related to inventory control, including receipts, transfers, and audits.
Other Tasks
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the Purchasing Head depending on the exigencies of the organization.
JOB PROFILE
Educational Background
- Must have at least an educational attainment equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
Professional Background
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in inventory management, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role
- Preferrable with an APICS Certification (e.g., CPIM).
Knowledge Requirements
- Must have a strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be proficient in inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems)
- Must have excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Must have effective communication and leadership skills.
- Must have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY
- The position reports primarily at the Head Office and may report to site offices in relation to their work; and
- Safety risks may be incrementally higher at site offices than the usually low safety risk levels in the Head Office when meeting suppliers, or requesting stakeholders due to different factors such as health concerns, transportation to and from sites, site/venue safety, etc.
