Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to standardize inventory management processes across multiple business units or departments.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure inventory accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.- Coordinate with business unit leaders and department heads to understand inventory management needs and requirements.
Analyze inventory data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory levels, locations, and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.
Utilize inventory management software and systems to track inventory movements, monitor stock levels, and generate reports.- Provide training and support to business unit staff on inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and finance, to optimize inventory management processes and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate receipt of inventory items.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements in inventory management.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.- At least 5 years of proven experience in inventory control or supply chain management, with at least 2 years of experience in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and systems, as well as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheet for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and business units.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Certification in inventory management or supply chain management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.- Ability to plan and set up new warehouse projects is an advantage.
