Job Summary
The Inventory Staff is responsible for overseeing the daily operations related to inventory. This includes managing stock levels, conducting regular inventory audits, ensuring accurate records, and supporting the supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain current inventory levels; track orders, shipments, and stock.- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the system.
- Organize and store products in an efficient and orderly manner.
Receiving and Stocking:
- Receive and inspect incoming goods for accuracy and quality.
Unload and store products in the appropriate locations.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for returns, replacements, and discrepancies.Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, adjustments, and movements.
- Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management.
Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders as needed.Quality Control:
Ensure products are stored and handled according to company standards and regulations.
- Identify and report damaged or expired products.
Implement and maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.Collaboration and Communication:
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., sales, production, logistics) to ensure smooth inventory operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and suppliers.
Qualifications and Skills
- College graduate of Business Administration or equivalent; additional certification in inventory management or logistics is a plus.
Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or similar role.- Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic math skills for inventory calculations.
- Physical stamina to perform manual inventory tasks (lifting, moving stock, etc.).
Working Conditions
- Warehouse or storage facility environment.
May require lifting and moving heavy items.- Standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
