Position Summary:
The Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing internal audits across the bank's operations, ensuring that financial and operational controls are functioning as intended. This role involves leading a team of auditors, conducting risk assessments, and providing recommendations to enhance the bank's internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the annual audit plan based on a comprehensive risk assessment.
- Lead and manage a team of internal auditors, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct detailed audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management practices.
- Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the Audit Committee.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, best practices, and emerging risks to incorporate into audit planning and execution.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of continuous improvement and risk awareness.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of internal audit policies, procedures, and methodologies.
- Perform special investigations and reviews as requested by management.
