Job Summary:
The Internal Audit Assistant will support the Internal Audit team in conducting audits and reviews of the organization's operations, financial transactions, and internal controls. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a basic understanding of auditing principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in Audit Planning and Execution:
- Support the development of audit plans, including risk assessment and scope determination.
- Assist in the preparation of audit programs and schedules.
2. Conduct Audits:
- Perform audit fieldwork, including data gathering, testing, and documentation of processes and controls.
- Examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Identify and document issues and areas for improvement
3. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain organized and comprehensive audit files and working papers.
- Assist in preparing audit reports that summarize findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Communicate audit results to management and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
4. Data Analysis:
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas of risk.
5. Compliance and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry regulations, company policies, and best practices in auditing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies.
6. Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the Internal Audit team and other departments to achieve audit objectives.
7. Professional Development:
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance auditing skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Accountancy, Financial Management, Accounting Technology, or any related course.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- With good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have strong analytical skills and great attention to details.
- Experience in inventory is an advantage.
- Willing to do field work.
- Willing to work on-site and during Saturdays.
