Key Responsibilities:- Financial Record Maintenance: Secure and maintain financial records as directed by clients and ensure all financial transactions are accurately documented and entered into accounting software.
Transaction Processing:
Process receipts, payments, and ensure accurate entry of transaction information.Account Reconciliation:
Reconcile debtor and creditor accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved promptly.Accounts Receivable and Payable Management: Handle outbound calls for accounts receivables management and inbound calls for creditor inquiries.
- Ledger and Bank Reconciliation: Perform ledger reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and prepare trial balance and financial statements.
Financial Discrepancy Resolution:
Investigate and reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.Cash Flow Reporting:
Prepare weekly cash flow reports as directed by the client.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with BAS, PAYG, and superannuation requirements.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake other tasks as required by the client, such as form completion, creating credit accounts, and managing database details on internal software.
Payment Processing:
Prepare and verify documentation for payments and request disbursements.Performance Reporting:
Prepare performance reports as directed by the client, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.Education:
Must be degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience:
2 years of Australian bookkeeping experience, preferably within a similar industry.Skills: Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Australian accounting software, such as Xero or similar platforms.
