We are seeking a proactive and experienced Intermediate Accountant to join the dynamic finance team of our client.
You will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Perform data entry tasks, ensuring all financial information is up to date.
- Conduct system setup and maintenance for smooth operation of accounting software and tools.
Handle bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records.- Assist in overseeing and managing daily accounting operations, including maintaining the general ledger and preparing financial statements.
Perform detailed month-end and year-end closing activities, including complex reconciliations and adjusting journal entries.
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management as needed.- Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all financial documentation is accurate and readily available.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering professional development within the team.
- Collaborate with the team to streamline accounting processes, enhance financial controls, and improve overall efficiency.
Deal with Merchant Acquiring boarding and applications full training provided.- Perform various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the organization.
At least a bachelor's degree in accountancy or any accounting-related field- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience is required for this role
Experience in UK accounting is an advantage
- Proficiency with Xero accounting software is a must
Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Stable internet connection is required to
permanently work from home
Willing to work on a
UK shift (3:30 PM to 11:30 PM) from Monday to Friday
