The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in metal fabrication and construction settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, safety protocols, and construction practices.
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in metal fabrication and construction projects, including machinery, lighting systems, and power distribution systems.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to determine wiring layouts and installation requirements.
Plan and layout electrical installations, including routing conduit and cables, sizing wire gauges, and selecting appropriate electrical components and materials.- Test electrical systems and components using testing devices, such as voltmeters, ammeters, to ensure proper functioning and compliance with electrical codes and standards.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on electrical systems and equipment to minimize downtime and prevent malfunctions or failures.
- Respond to service calls and emergency requests to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner.
Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards to prevent accidents, injuries, and electrical hazards in the workplace.- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including welders, fabricators, and contractors, to coordinate electrical installations and ensure project deadlines are met.
Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment inventory.
- Stay updated on advancements in electrical technology, codes, and regulations through ongoing training and professional development activities.
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical trades.
- Proven experience as an Electrician in metal fabrication or construction environments.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods.- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems effectively.

- Preferred Qualifications:
