Job Summary:
The Import/Export Officer controls, manages, and is accountable for all aspects of customs, duties, tariffs, drawback, refunds & exclusions, and maintenance of foreign trade master data in ERP system. The incumbent will be responsible for import/export compliance processes, filing accuracy, and related process management/project execution.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain control and ensure regulations to all import and export processes and monitor work according to corporate and local policies and evaluate all new custom requirements and supervise everyday operations according to standard procedures.
2. Assist to obtain all required import permits and export licenses for both EEI and subsidiaries.
3. Coordinate with sourcing, procurement, fabrication shop, engineering and marketing departments to establish an efficient import-export classification and assist in preparing tariff schedules and landed costing analysis for project Bidding.
4. Provide an efficient interface with freight forwarders and administer all freight logistics and provide optimal level of customer services and resolve all shipment issues.
5. Perform all record keeping processes and maintain records of all entry.
6. Evaluate all items for import and ensure accuracy in all values and tariff classification of goods with proper alignment to brokers. Collaborate with Customs Broker to anticipate, identify and resolve problems for clearance of all imports by ensuring all customs requirements are adhered to.
7. Perform audit on all import and export files on regular basis.
8. Monitor and provide response to all custom inquiries and requests and obtain required product certifications for all export and import products for custom clearance.
9. Collaborate with various departments and obtain all certification documents and ensure compliance to all import and export policies and perform regular audits on all broker activities. 10. Ensure legal compliance, administration and control of government requirements relative to import & export operations.

Possesses strong analytical skills and have experience in handling large amounts of data efficiently and effectively
Proficient Microsoft Office products and other relevant computer applications are required
Professional, business driven mentality with the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization SAP Knowledge and experience an advantage
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Qualifications
Educational Background:
4-year degree in a related field preferably a Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration graduate and a minimum of 4 years of related experience in Import-Export Compliance, Logistics, and Traffic activities or a minimum of 7 years of related experience in an indirect Import-Export function or support.
Professional Experience:
Thorough understanding of Philippine and global customs, freight, and logistics areas.
Experience in duty drawback
Experience in transportation (import and export) and customs expertise in the US required
Working knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
Knowledge and experience in ERP systems is preferred
Professional, business driven mentality with the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization
