• The Role

We are looking for an Import/Export Officer to join our team based in the Philippines.

As an
Import/Export Officer, you will:

Deal with all aspects of International and Domestic freight movements (Import & Export by Sea/Air/multi-model and/or Land) which includes:

• Liaising with customers both on the telephone, by email and potentially face-to-face with regard to collections/deliveries of International/Domestic Freight movements

Handle confirmed booking and daily operation related inquiries, correspondence & complaint

• Support the arrangement of shipment booking/planning (incl. consolidation/deconsolidation when required), documentation support, license application/checking (if required) and related data entry

Place booking with carriers

• Provide update schedule to customers

Arrange pick up service & releases booking to customers when required

• Prepare & release Delivery Order and issuance of arrival notice

Liaise with internal parties, warehouses, vendors and suppliers

• Communicate with overseas offices for shipment arrangement to ensure shipments are handled properly and efficiently

Monitor the shipment status, prepare the reports for customers and system updates

• Resolve operations discrepancy under the guide of supervisor

Related to costing of the job:

• Handle local charge quotation

Prepare / Validates debit notes

• Check and post incoming cost billing

Prepare profit and loss with destination offices and agents

• Validate Job Profit summary

Ensure all procedures are complied with governments regulations and rules, as well company policies

• Qualifications

• Knowledge/Experience

Strong Computer literacy (ability to utilise MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook etc)

• Commercial awareness is essential in this role

Results-orientated and resilient

• Analytical skills

Effective organisational skills with significant focus on attention to detail

• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels both internally and with clients

Must be willing to work in ASEANA, Paranaque City

Must be open to work on half day on Saturdays

• Technical/Professional Skills required

Experience or interest in a Multi-Modal position in Air Import/export and sea import/export is an advantage

• Client Focused with strong service ethic and skills. Ability and confidence to deal with difficult customers if the need arises

Ability to consistently meet deadlines in a timely manner

• Open to fresh graduates

Open to candidates with internship experience in the freight industry
