The job role of an HVAC engineer involves the following duties:- Surveying sites ahead of fitting heating, ventilation, or air conditioning systems
Planning the placement of pipework, ducts, and control panels- Installing HVAC components
Performing quality checks to ensure systems are working efficiently and safely
- Carrying out maintenance on HVAC systems
Finding and fixing faults- Responsible for HVAC and ventilation system scheme design, budget quotation, and bidding-related work;
Assisted and followed up on the project progress, adjustment, modification, and optimization of the project plan;
- Designing of products or systems such as tools, machines, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems;
Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modification to help improve safety, reliability, and throughput;- Developing project specifications with colleagues from another engineering discipline;
Developing methods and procedures for testing products/systems and providing technical information;
- Reading and interpreting blueprint, schematic and technical drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Newly graduated from Mechanical Engineering or with 6 months to 1 year of experience
Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability, and cost of materials- Intermediate computer and software skills including the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation programs
Technical knowledge in design, sizing, and selection of HVAC systems including, but not limited to air handling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems
- Working knowledge of HVAC equipment and the ability to properly apply this equipment to various applications
