The Role
As the Human Resource Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and nurturing the workplace culture of our hospitality operation. You will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of human resource functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, and compliance. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will collaborate with department leaders to ensure that HR strategies align with business objectives and support the overall success of the property. Your leadership in fostering a positive work environment and supporting team members development will be essential in delivering an exceptional experience for both guests and team members.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality team members continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As Human Resource Manager, you will need to:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Oversee the recruitment process for all positions, ensuring the attraction and selection of qualified, diverse, and motivated team members. Lead the onboarding process to ensure that all new hires are effectively integrated into the organization, with clear expectations and a positive experience from day one.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports team member engagement, motivation, and retention. Act as a trusted advisor to team members, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a professional and timely manner. Promote open communication and transparency throughout the organization.
Training & Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive training programs that promote both professional and personal growth for team members. Ensure all team members receive relevant training to enhance performance, service standards, and safety. Identify career development opportunities and provide coaching to support team members progression within the organization.
Performance Management:
Lead the performance management process, including the setting of objectives, conducting appraisals, and providing ongoing feedback to team members. Support department heads in addressing performance issues and implementing corrective actions when necessary. Ensure that performance management processes align with organizational goals and promote accountability.
Compensation & Benefits:
Ensure the competitiveness of the compensation structure and benefits packages to attract and retain top talent. Manage the payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with legal requirements. Regularly review and recommend adjustments to compensation strategies to align with market trends and organizational objectives.
Compliance & Policies:
Ensure compliance with all local labor laws, health and safety regulations, and organizational policies. Review, update, and communicate company policies as needed to ensure clarity and compliance. Keep management informed of any changes in legal regulations and advise on best practices for compliance.
Team Member Wellbeing & Support:
Implement programs and initiatives that support the wellbeing of team members, including health, wellness, and work-life balance initiatives. Provide support during times of personal need, such as leaves of absence, personal development, and grievance resolution.
Diversity & Inclusion:
Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives across the organization, ensuring that the workplace reflects the diversity of the local community and fosters an inclusive, respectful environment for all team members. Implement strategies to promote a culture of equity, inclusion, and mutual respect.
HR Reporting & Analytics:
Oversee the tracking and reporting of key HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, and team member satisfaction. Regularly present reports to the General Manager and senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations for HR improvements based on data analysis.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to ensure that team members are trained in safety protocols and that the workplace adheres to all safety regulations. Ensure that accidents, incidents, and injuries are properly documented and resolved, and that a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
Succession Planning:
Work with senior leadership to identify key roles and high-potential team members for succession planning. Develop strategies to groom future leaders from within the organization, ensuring the long-term sustainability and success of the business.
