The Human Resource Officer & Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing and enhancing our HR functions while also handling essential bookkeeping tasks. This dual role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of HR practices and financial record-keeping. This role will be a hybrid setup and not require daily on-site reporting, but instead have a set schedule for reporting weekly as well as be available during office hours for calls and tasks. This role may extend to basic and simple admin tasks as well as assisting superiors with personal matters.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.Employee Relations:
Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.Compliance: Ensure company policies and procedures comply with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Training and Development: Organize training programs and professional development opportunities for staff.
Performance Management:
Oversee performance review processes and provide guidance on performance improvement plans.
Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.Payroll Processing:
Oversee payroll processing, including timekeeping, wage calculations, and benefits administration.Budget Management: Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring expenditures to ensure financial efficiency.
- Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports and assist in preparing financial statements for management review.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR and bookkeeping roles. Proven experience in handling both HR functions and financial tasks is preferred.Skills:- Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and HR management systems.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping.
