BagoSphere is expanding and strengthening its organization. As the HR Specialist for Compensation and Benefits at BagoSphere, your role is crucial in shaping our organization's growth and reputation. You'll develop and oversee our compensation and benefits system, manage administrative tasks, and foster positive employee relations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and a commitment to our company culture.
Fast forward 1 year. Here's what we believe a successful HR Specialist - Compensation and Benefits would have accomplished in a year:
- Efficiently implemented the company's total compensation and benefits package aligned with BagoSphere's culture, strategy, and business goals.
- Ensured alignment of statutory benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, HDMF) with current government legislation and fair labor practices.
- Managed all company assets, including laptops and other equipment, effectively.
- Oversaw smooth office administration and optimized company tech tools related to compensation and benefits for seamless operations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
A. Compensation and Benefits
Administer compensation operations for accurate payroll, timely benefits, compliance, and confidential records.
- Implement the compensation system for accurate and prompt payroll processing.
- Maintain timekeeping and attendance records, including updating leave balances.
- Ensure prompt and correct calculation of employees pay, deductions, government benefits, and BIR annualization reports.
- Monitor and process SSS and HDMF loan applications.
- Facilitate computation of clearance and final pay for separated/resigned employees.
- Ensure company compliance with pay practices and labor laws.
- Research labor market trends for prevailing pay rates.
- Maintain confidentiality of compensation and benefits.
- Prepare prompt and accurate reports (semi-monthly, monthly, annual).
- Manage and maintain employees compensation and benefits-related files.
B. Perks and Benefits
Manage employee insurance, savings programs, and the distribution of perks.
- Enroll employees in insurance including but not limited to HMO and Group Life Insurance, and facilitate insurance claims.
- Manage and monitor employee savings.
- Purchase and distribute perks and other incentives, such as birthday cakes, anniversary gifts, etc.
C. Asset Management
Manage acquisition, distribution, inventory, maintenance, and turnover of company-issued items.
- Facilitate the acquisition and distribution of company-issued items, such as laptops, equipment, devices, and others.
- Develop and implement an efficient inventory system for company-issued items.
- Facilitate repair and maintenance of company-issued equipment and devices.
- Ensure proper turnover of equipment and devices upon employees exit.
D. Office Administration
Manage various office service requests
- Facilitate and process requests for office-related services (i.e., janitorial, mailing, maintenance, etc.).
- Process travel requests, load allowances, and petty cash disbursements in a timely and accurate manner.
E. Team Engagement
Organize and facilitate team cadence activities aligned with the development and practice of BagoSphere culture and core values.
- Celebrate employee milestones, and personal celebrations, such as birthdays, work anniversaries, and others.
- Be creative in setting up and organizing well-curated team activities for both online and on-site.
F. Perform other duties as assigned to help support HR operations as needed.
The employee may perform other tasks or projects assigned to him/ her in the future by the employer not limited to the above listed.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE (MUST-HAVES)
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related behavioral field, with a preference for honor graduates.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing Total Compensation and Benefits for companies with 30 or more employees.
- Proficiency in payroll systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related Google tools, showcasing advanced computer literacy.
- Familiarity with labor laws.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills, above-average level.
