The HR Officer will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing human resources functions within our construction firm. The role is responsible for several areas of human resources, including employee relations, recruitment, personnel administration, compensation and overall HR operations. The role requires both a good knowledge of the company and HR experience to be able to respond to the local business regulations and human capital requirements.
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and hiring for various administrative and technical roles.
Develop and implement onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new hires into the company culture and job responsibilities including the conduct of orientation sessions.- Create and enforce HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks specific to the construction industry, ensuring compliance with labor laws and safety regulations.
Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Organize and promote employee engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and recognition programs within a construction-oriented environment.
Coordinate construction-specific skill development programs or regulatory trainings for key positions- Collaborate with Safety Officers to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
Manage HR administration tasks, including maintaining employee records, payroll coordination, and benefits administration.
- Oversee attendance, leave management, and timekeeping systems.
Coordinate all employee-related concerns, works closely with all employees to improve work relationships, build positive culture and morale, providing HR guidance when appropriate.- Coordinate and implement the full people life-cycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
Uphold the company's code of ethics and business conduct
- Other human resources tasks assigned by the Immediate Manager.
At least 3 years HR experience from a construction company
- Knowledgeable in labor relations and can handle people's issues independently
Experience on payroll, timekeeping and statutory regulations- Experience on recruitment and selection
Can work with minimum supervision
- Good interpersonal relation skills, proactiveness, ability to work independently and execute promptly /good initiator
* Ability to be flexible and adjust priorities when necessary to meet the requirements of the internal stakeholders, and business
- Understands and ensures data confidentiality
