- You will play a critical role in attracting, developing, and retaining talent while ensuring compliance with labor laws and promoting a positive work environment. You will work closely with senior management and department heads to align HR strategies with business objectives
Education: A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is usually required. Some employers may prefer a master's degree in human resources or a related field.
- Experience: Typically, 5 years of experience in human resources is required, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Candidates should have experience with recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy development.
Knowledge:
HR Supervisors should have a thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations, including ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO, and OSHA. They should also have knowledge of HR best practices and trends, as well as experience with HRIS systems and software.Communication skills:
Excellent communication skills are essential for an HR Supervisor. They should be able to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and senior leaders in the organization. They should also be able to write clearly and concisely, and have strong presentation skills.Leadership skills: HR Supervisors should have strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team. They should be able to set goals, provide feedback, and hold their team accountable for results.
- Analytical skills: HR Supervisors should be able to analyze data and information to make informed decisions. They should be able to identify trends and patterns in data, and use that information to develop strategies and make recommendations to senior leaders.
Problem-solving skills:
HR Supervisors should have strong problem-solving skills and be able to handle complex issues with creativity and efficiency. They should be able to identify problems, evaluate options, and implement solutions.
