An HR Generalist is the backbone of a company's human resources department, wearing many hats and ensuring a smooth employee experience from start to finish.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
Assist in the recruitment process by screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
- Onboard new hires, ensuring they understand company policies, benefits, and culture.
Maintain accurate employee records and data within the HR information system (HRIS).
- Employee Relations and Administration:
Act as the first point of contact for employees with HR-related questions or concerns.- Manage employee leaves of absence, including processing paperwork and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
- Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring proper enrollment and communication.
Stay up-to-date on employment laws and regulations to ensure the company is compliant.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
Coordinate training and development programs to help employees improve their skills and knowledge.
- Additional Responsibilities:
Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.- Prepare reports on HR activities for management.
Assist with performance management processes.
- Maintain a strong company culture by promoting employee engagement initiatives.
