About the Role: As our JHS Science Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality science education to our junior high students, fostering a passion for science and encouraging critical thinking and inquiry.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the learning needs and abilities of each student.
Prepare and deliver lessons on topics in accordance with the science curriculum.
Utilize various teaching methods to ensure all students are effectively engaged and learning.
Evaluate and track the progress of each student and provide feedback to students, parents, and other educators.
Maintain a safe and orderly classroom conducive to learning.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Stay current on the latest teaching methods, educational research, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education with a major in
Math or Science. A Master's degree would be an added advantage.
Valid teaching certification, LET.
Experience teaching Science at the junior high level is preferred but not required. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Strong knowledge of Science and the ability to convey complex concepts in a way that students can understand.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff.
Proficiency in using technology as a teaching tool.
