Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a medical field or related pharmaceutical industry
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Virtual Medical Assistant
- Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal, reaching at least C1 proficiency
- Thorough comprehension of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in navigating EHR/EMR systems and adept at troubleshooting common technical issues
- Knowledgeable about healthcare privacy regulations
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal abilities
- Robust organizational and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail
- Technologically adept, familiar with contemporary tools such as desktop sharing, cloud services, and VoIP
- Available to work the night shift
Duties And Responsibilities
- Record details of new patient admissions and referrals
- Oversee the scheduling of appointments, managing changes such as cancellations and rescheduling for both patients and healthcare providers
- Enter patient data, medical records (including CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes), and billing information into EMR/EHR systems
- Assist in processing insurance claims, verifying patient insurance details, and handling billing inquiries, concerns, and documentation
- Address incoming patient inquiries, offering assistance and guiding them to the appropriate healthcare provider
- Assist in the analysis of healthcare data, compiling reports, and maintaining records
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, uphold privacy standards, and maintain patient confidentiality
- Arrange for the transfer of medical records to various departments, healthcare providers, and professionals as instructed by the Managing Physician
- Perform additional tasks as required
