Team Introduction
The ByteDance Tax team is building to work with other corporate functions on tax advisory, planning, structuring, and tax controversy. We ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, as well as solving tax-related issues. We are seeking Philippines Tax Head based in Taguig, Philippines. The candidate must have strong tax technique skills and be capable of dealing with tax audits/litigations as well as providing tax solutions for new businesses.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead team in optimising end-to-end tax compliance procedures to mitigate risks and improve efficiency with coordination with other finance teams where relevant.
- Manage tax inquiries and handle tax audits conducted by the tax authorities.
- Monitor the tax legislation changes and assess the implications and ultimately suggest steps to manage those changes if applicable.
- Provide practical tax analysis and solutions to all business lines.
- Provide tax support on various projects, report project status and progress to management on regular basis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or above with over 5+ years of working experience in the tax function of multinational corporations and get trained by big 4 or law firms as a tax lawyer.
- Candidate must have e-commerce industry experience.
- Qualified professional qualifications such as chartered accountant, Bar Passer or other industry recognised qualifications.
- Strong tax technical knowledge of Philippines tax and be capable of providing tax assessment on complicated business scenarios and be able to to clearly communicate tax technical issues to non-tax professionals.
- Fluency in both Filipino and English due to coverage of the market (resumes/CVs must be submitted in English).
- Proficient team management skills.
