The Role
As the Head of Spa & Recreations, you will lead and manage all spa and recreational activities, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while upholding the highest standards of service and quality. Your leadership will be pivotal in creating an environment that promotes wellness, relaxation, and recreation, making it a key part of the guest experience.
Key Areas of Responsibilities

- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the spa and recreational facilities, ensuring smooth service delivery and adherence to luxury standards in all areas, from treatment services to guest experiences.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and lead a diverse team of spa and recreation professionals. Foster a supportive work environment and conduct regular performance evaluations to maintain high standards of service.
- Guest Experience: Design, develop, and implement exceptional spa and recreational experiences that exceed guest expectations. Address guest feedback personally and ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.
- Sales and Marketing: Create and execute innovative marketing strategies to promote spa and recreational services. Enhance brand visibility, boost guest engagement, and drive revenue growth through creative promotional activities.
- Financial Management: Monitor the spa and recreation departments budget and financial performance. Optimize pricing strategies, control costs, and develop promotional strategies to maximize profitability.
- Program Development: Curate a diverse range of wellness and recreational programs that cater to guest preferences, local culture, and current trends in health and leisure.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations, providing a secure and clean environment for both guests and team members.
- Community Engagement: Build relationships and foster partnerships with local businesses, wellness professionals, and the surrounding community to elevate the resort's offerings and reputation in the local area.
Qualifications and Standards
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 - 8 years in a luxury spa or recreational environment, with at least 3 - 4 years in a management role. Proven experience leading teams and managing operations in a high-end hospitality or wellness setting is essential.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field preferred. Certification in spa or recreation management is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Capable of managing diverse teams and maintaining high levels of performance across various departments.
- Guest-Centered: Strong focus on providing exceptional guest service. Ability to design experiences that are both engaging and meaningful to guests.
- Financial Acumen: Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management. Ability to drive business profitability while maintaining luxury standards.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with team members, guests, and management.
- Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to grooming standards set by the resort.
