Job Objective
Oversees the day-to-day operation of the secondary market, which includes liaising with the trading system provider for new products, resolving any issues that arise during daily operations, continuous coordination with Trading Participants for their own queries or other needs, and communicating general announcements related to daily trading.
The role is also responsible for ensuring the orderly conduct of the Fixed Income activities within the PDEx platforms and systems (including new products to be launched: SLT, REPO, BOND FORWARDS, ROPs).
Responsibilities
- Monitors daily market operations of PDS-operated markets (e.g. fixed-income market), this includes overseeing activities on accessible front-end systems.
- Monitors newly auctioned / listed security/ies in the PDEx Trading System, MarketPage and PDS website.
- Ensures that securities are properly set up in the PDEx Trading system and PDS downstream applications.
- Secures trades done in the PDEx Trading System's front-end flow through CAAC blotter and other publication pages.
- Monitors all trades especially those that maybe executed during a trading session break.
- Consolidates all cancelled trades reported by Trading Participants and reconciles with cancelled trades tagged in the PDEx Trading System.
- Records incidents in the incident management system.
- Coordinates with and refers settlement issues to the Clearing and Settlement Unit.
- Notifies Corporate Market Makers with regards the posting of their market
- Creates the business requirement specifications for platforms (for existing systems for enhancements and other future products for development).
- Spearhead User Acceptance Testing for all products and system enhancements, bugs, etc.
- Oversees all trading data to ensure that accurate and timely data services are delivered to internal and external parties.
Qualifications
- College Degree related to Finance/Business.
- Preferably with Treasury background/experience
- With in-depth knowledge of different kinds of financial instruments, especially fixed-income, foreign exchange, and repurchase agreements
- BAP Certified Treasury Professional is an advantage.
The position is with a rank of Senior Manager to Associate Director.
