About The Role
We are searching for a seasoned and strategic HR leader to join our team as the Head of Human Resources. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional HR leadership and guidance, ensuring the development and implementation of comprehensive HR strategies that support our faculty, staff, and the overall mission of the university.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the university's strategic goals.
- Oversee all aspects of the HR function, including talent acquisition, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management, and training & development.
- Lead the HR team in attracting, recruiting, and retaining top talent across all academic and administrative departments.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement, diversity, and professional development.
- Develop and maintain competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain high-performing employees.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
- Manage and maintain employee relations, addressing concerns and fostering a culture of open communication.
- Partner with university leadership to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices in HR and implement innovative solutions to address evolving challenges.
- Provide strategic advice and counsel to university leadership on all HR matters.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within a university setting.
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices and emerging trends in higher education.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with faculty, staff, and university leadership.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Proficient in HR technology and information systems.
- Maximum age of 45 years.
