An organisation is searching for a Head of General Trade, within field execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Manages national sales team of General Trade
- Ensures sales plans are in compliance with all federal/national, state, local and company regulations, policies and procedures.
- Manages staffing, training, and performance evaluations and career development of the team
- Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas and goals/selling techniques.
- Recommends/participates in sales campaigns to accommodate goals of the company.
- Utilizes all necessary marketing information.
- Provides account support/administration to increase company products presence with accounts.
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules and discount rates.
- Meets or exceeds established sales quotas and margins through the implementation of sales and marketing activities within the expense budget.
- Establishes/maintains contact with key customers/distributors
- Ensures appropriate account management of new and existing accounts.
- Establishes/maintains contact with senior customers.
- Prepares report showing sales volume/potential sales.
- Coordinates and participates in area and national trade shows and conventions.
- Conducts/participates in performance evaluation of Distributors, ensuring Distributors are achieving revenue and distribution goals
- Ensures Distributor partners are operating efficiently with highest service level rates
- Ensure Distributor partners are provided with the right financial support and operational guidance
- Work closely with Customer Development and General Trade Leadership teams on creating Long term development road map that is align with the company long term plans
Key Qualifications
What We Are Looking For
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field
- At least 10 years experience in the FMCG business with strong background in general trade and field execution management
- Strong experience as Area Sales Manager in General Trade
- Experience in Shopper Marketing or Shopper Activation is preferred but not required
- High level of proficiency in Distributor operation and General Trade retail environment
- High level of proficiency in Key Account management
- Strong people management and individual career development management experience
- Strong business acumen with holistic enterprise mindset
- Highly passionate in making a positive impact in our consumers lives
