Requirement
- At least 10 years of work experience with a local bank and must be at least an Assistant Vice President.
- Expert knowledge of BSP's MORB , IFRS 9 and IFRS 15 is a must. Working knowledge of BIR regulations is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and holder of a CPA license.
- The company works 3 days out of 5 in the Makati office & will move to Mandaluyong in March 2025.
Job Responsibilities
- Financial reporting
- Manage the monthly closing of the company's books in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain the company's chart of accounts.
- Taxation
- Manage the timely and accurate filings and payments of the company's tax obligations namely transaction taxes, documentary stamp taxes and corporate income taxes.
- Process improvements
- Identify and drive improvements in the following areas:
- Enhancement of the company's back-end loan accounting system.
- Establish and stabilize month-end reconciliations of loans and interest subledgers against the general ledger.
- Ensure company's adherence to the appropriate accounting recognition policies prescribed by IFRS, BSP and BIR.
- Audit
- Manage the audit ensuring the auditors obtain their requests from the various departments of the company. Proactively identify issues and drive resolutions.
- Corporate finance
- Provide decision support to the Regional Funding team in answering queries and providing information to the company's investors and lenders in a timely manner.
- Treasury
- Manage the team who does the cash forecast and payment processing to vendors and merchants. This includes overseeing the bank account opening process.
- Loan operations
- Manage the team that reviews and approves disbursement of loan proceeds to Atome's customers through our partner banks.
- Financial advisory
- Provide counsel to internal and external stakeholders in matters of accounting standards and taxation regulations, among others.
