About the Job:
The Finance and Accounting Head oversees all the finance and accounting matters of the Foundation. These included budgetary requirements and funding requests, as well as compliance requirements related to accounting, and ensuring the books of accounts of the Foundation are in order and aligned with the audited FS balances.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for authorizing and controlling fund expenditure for programs and projects of the Foundation in accordance with prevailing standards and agreements;
Executes compliance-related functions related to finance and accounting;
Oversees the Book of Accounts of the Foundation;
Oversees processes related to the Foundation's budget and funding requests;
Oversees financial internal control to include applying checks and balances in handling and utilization of funds;
Oversees budget preparations, voucher preparations and disbursement of funds.
Analyzes accounting data and produces financial reports.
Coordinates and completes annual audits.
Job Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or equivalent;
Certified Public Accountant
At least 8 years of work experience in accounting and finance roles;
Strong communications, negotiating, reporting, and interpersonal skills;
High attention to details with strong capability to multitask;
Proficient in MS Office and GSuite applications;
Excellent work ethic and credibility.
