Singlife Philippines, headquartered in Manila, is a majority-owned subsidiary of Singlife. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key partner of the CEO in building this company, developing innovative products and processes, and delivering on the business plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives, Group standards, internal policies/procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in local regulations affecting the Company's business, and ensure that the company adapts to these changes effectively.
  • Ensure timely and proper submission of reports and other regulatory requirements and registrations/renewal of registrations with the relevant regulators, such as with the IC, SEC, AMLC and NPC.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits/testing to identify potential compliance gaps and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and/or the board of directors, highlighting compliance status, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement compliance training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Investigate compliance breaches and develop corrective actions, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Promote a culture of compliance across the organization by collaborating with various business units and fostering open communication.
  • Provide general support to the other members of the Legal & Compliance Team and the other business units, for their compliance-related activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 7-10 years of relevant work experience in compliance, risk management, or related field, preferably with another insurance company.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certification in the areas of compliance, risk, data privacy, AML, other compliance-related fields is preferred.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Philippine insurance regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead compliance initiatives and foster a culture of integrity and ethical behavior within the Company.
