Job Description:
The position is responsible for the effective and efficient management of all engagement and digital platforms of the Sun Life Philippines. This includes resource planning, performance management, training and development and career management of pool of platform and application owners and their respective delivery squads.
The position is also responsible for quality assurance to ensure that Phils. IT services are delivered using defined standards, policies and procedures.
Delivery
Manages the delivery teams under the Engagement/ Digital platforms Tower which includes Client Portal and Mobile Application, Advisor Home Office, POS, Salesforce and others.
Plans and strategizes for each of the platforms/ applications. He/She needs to provide the modernization roadmap working together with the Enterprise and Solution Architecture teams.
Manages all application maintenance activities to meet the required SLA's and other BAU requirements.
Develops the annual resource plans and updates them quarterly. Ensures adequate and sufficiently skilled staffing for project development teams and live application management team.
Directs the assignment of delivery squads to projects, programs and/or value streams. Ensures that the resources from this pool are aligned with the SLF Phils business priorities to meet expected OKRs and other metrics.
Directs all aspects of resource performance management, training requirements and career development in collaboration with the project managers. Creates and implements a training plan to ensure that resources acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for current and emerging requirements.
Ensures the recruitment and retention of skilled and quality resources for the Phils. IT requirements.
Quality Assurance
Implements and maintains project management process quality across all projects. Ensures consistent application of IT standards, policies and procedures. Ensures completeness of sign-offs for all project phases before projects are transferred to live application management.
Manages and enforces approved contracts with internal (Shared Services, COE) and external service providers. Ensures that releases from external vendors satisfy the required IT standards, policies and procedures before turn over to live application management. Ensures the timeliness, completeness and on budget delivery of application projects supported by the internal service providers. Monitors and ensures that SLA's for hardware and software are met.
Spearheads Phils. IT process improvement initiatives. Establishes and implements quality metrics for IT and common metrics between users and IT.
Ensures data integrity and security across all Philippine applications. Ensures that data, processes, procedures, interfaces and functionality that can be used across multiple applications are not duplicated.
Prepares MBR and PMO reports.
Coordinates with Shared Services Asia on architecture reviews and common staff training.
Coordinates launches to ensure it fits with overall Philippine operations schedule.
Participates in IT strategic planning., Provides inputs to Philippine requirements with regard to prioritization, maintenance and releases.
Education and Experience
College/University Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related courses
More than 10 years experience in IT development projects, more than 5 years experience in project management, at least 5 years engineering experience
