Our Internal Audit team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Makati with the role of Head of Head Office Audit I.

In this role, you will assist the Chief Audit Executive (CAE) in ensuring compliance with internal auditing standards and relevant ethics codes, developing and submitting a comprehensive audit plan based on risk assessments and input from key stakeholders, implementing and monitoring the annual audit plan and investigations, and ensuring the internal audit function has qualified human resources.

What the role will entail

• Assist the CAE in ensuring the internal audit function complies with internal auditing standards, including those from the Institute of Internal Auditors and other regulatory authorities, as well as relevant codes of ethics.
• Develop a departmental audit plan based on robust risk assessment, incorporating inputs from the board of directors, audit committee, and senior management, ensuring comprehensive coverage of regulatory matters.
• Submit the audit plan, including any revisions, to the CAE for endorsement to the audit committee.
• Implement and monitor the department's annual audit plan, overseeing regular, spot, special, fraud, forensic investigations, and continuous reviews.
• Ensure the internal audit function has adequate human resources with the necessary qualifications and skills, monitoring the accomplishment and implementation of IDPs and Successor Development Plans.

What we're looking for

• Holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant, or posses any equivalent professional certification such as CIA, CISA, CFE, etc.
• At least 10 years of experience in internal audit in the banking industry handling treasury, trust, wealth management, derivatives, investment banking, controllership and Corporate Governance units of the Bank
• With experience in model validation and review of ICAAP process
