- Job Summary:
As a Head Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting of the company. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with local regulations and providing strategic guidance on financial matters.
Oversee the whole operation of the Finance and Accounting Department- Ensures that accounting and financial records and reports comply with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
Ensure submission of accurate and timely reports and all related schedules.
- Monitors regulatory changes (including but not limited to local provision calculations)
Communicates and works with local and external auditors- Handles the salary and tax calculations of the employees
Communicate and provides accurate financial information to internal parties
- Prepares invoices for payments when necessary
Provide financial information to managers and other staff as required- Develop and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions
Handles taxation requirements and ensures the Company's compliance to all BIR rules and regulations.
- Provides various financial data to related government agencies for compliance and other purposes.
Perform other task assigned as needed.
Graduate of Accounting or related field. Certified Public Accountant license is an advantage.- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chief Accountant and in General Accounting in Lending / Financing companies.
Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Suites, etc.)
- Must be knowledgeable with the taxation and regulatory requirements of the BIR, Local Government, and SEC for Lending / Financing companies
Experience in a Microfinance company is a plus.- Proficiency in Accounting systems. Experience in Navision is a plus.
Experience working with foreign management (Russian / European) is a huge advantage.
