Position: Hardware Design Engineer
Location: Remote - Philippines/Malaysia
Key Responsibilities:
- Circuit Design: Develop analog and digital circuits for low-power, battery-powered devices, and hotel room control systems.
- Quality Leadership: Ensure top-quality hardware design and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Documentation: Write detailed design specifications and implementation guides.
- Design Reviews: Lead design reviews and uphold industry-standard methodologies.
- System Realization: Translate complex system requirements into robust hardware solutions.
- Implementation: Oversee the complete implementation of detailed technical tasks and understand system-level items.
- Customer Liaison: Maintain flexibility to adapt to evolving specifications and gather customer feedback throughout the development process.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with firmware and software engineers to define system designs, interfaces, and protocols.
- Testing: Develop and implement test hardware and procedures to validate hardware operation.
- Support: Provide ongoing hardware support and manage component obsolescence throughout the product lifecycle.
- Additional Duties: Undertake other tasks as reasonably requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven industry design experience.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in analog and digital electronic circuit design, hardware troubleshooting, and system integration.
- Documentation: Ability to produce comprehensive technical design documentation.
- Production Handover: Experience managing the transition of designs into production.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with diverse customer representatives.
- Problem Solving: Innovative thinker with a talent for researching and resolving complex technical issues.
- Attention to Detail: High level of detail orientation, flexibility, and adaptability.
