Job Title: Guidance Officer and Records Section AssistantWe seeking for a motivated and compassionate psychology major graduate to join our team as a Guidance Officer and Records Section Assistant. In this role, you will provide valuable guidance and support to students while also ensuring efficient management of records and documents. The position requires a keen understanding of psychology principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. This is a full-time position with an 8-hour shift.
a. Provide guidance and support to students on academic, personal, and career-related matters.
b. Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to address their concerns and assist with problem-solving.
c. Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify students in need of additional support and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
d. Keep accurate records of counseling sessions and maintain confidentiality in accordance with ethical guidelines and institutional policies.
e. Stay up-to-date with current psychological trends and research to offer the best possible guidance to students.
- Records Section Assistant Duties:
a. Assist in managing and organizing student records and documents in accordance with the institution's policies and procedures.
b. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of student records by verifying information and updating data as needed.
c. Respond to inquiries from staff, students, and external parties regarding record requests and information.
d. Support the preparation and maintenance of student enrollment, attendance, and academic progress reports.
e. Collaborate with other departments to facilitate the exchange of relevant information and ensure data integrity.
f. Help implement digital record-keeping systems and maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field.
Strong understanding of psychological principles and counseling techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathetic and compassionate approach to supporting students.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to fulfill both guidance officer and records section duties.
Familiarity with record-keeping systems and computer proficiency.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with utmost professionalism.
Previous experience in counseling, student support, or record management is a plus.
